The League welcomes Deputy Mayor Krystal Reyes* as a guest for the 2025!
Krystal Reyes currently serves as Deputy Mayor for the City of Tulsa overseeing education, youth, and resilience initiatives. Prior to being appointed Deputy Mayor she served for over five years as Chief Resilience Officer for the City of Tulsa. In that role, she directed the Mayor’s Office of Resilience and Equity, overseeing city-wide strategies to advance resilience, equity, and welcoming through the implementation of policies, programs, and practice changes.
Throughout her career in local governments and nonprofit organizations, Krystal has led the planning, development, and implementation of initiatives that have increased early education opportunities for children, improved access to services for families and immigrant communities, and led to meaningful community partnerships.
Krystal has a bachelor’s degree in politics and Spanish literature and a master’s degree in public administration from New York University. In her free time, Krystal enjoys listening to Bob Dylan music, amateur astronomy, and walking her Australian cattle dog, Venetia.

The League welcomes Cindy Alexander as a guest for the 2024 Annual Meeting, presenting Legislative Highlights: Voting, Elections, and Direct Democracy.
Cindy Alexander is a retired veterinarian residing in Stillwater. She describes herself as a full-time volunteer organizer and activist. She is a charter member of Indivisible Oklahoma and is the co-founder and co-leader of both Indivisible Stillwater and the Oklahoma Direct Democracy Team.

The League welcomes Andrea Eger, Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame recipient, as a guest for the 2023 Annual Meeting.
Andrea Eger is an education and investigative reporter at the Tulsa World. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, she joined the World in 1999, and has distinguished herself with award-winning investigations that sparked criminal charges against an athletic director and numerous child sexual predators, leadership changes at school districts and state agencies, and parole revocation for a notorious convicted murderer. She also received accolades for exposing a series of unnatural deaths in veterans’ nursing homes and questionable financial practices at Epic Charter Schools, which Oklahoma’s state auditor later declared the largest abuse of taxpayer funds “in the history of this state.” She was inducted into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame in May.

The League welcomes Trevor Brown, formerly of Oklahoma Watch, as a guest for the 2022 Annual Meeting.
Trevor Brown has covered state and local politics for nearly a decade. He spent five years as the Wyoming Tribune Eagle’s statehouse reporter and previously covered state issues for Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.’s chain of newspapers in Oklahoma. He was the city/county government reporter for the Staunton News Leader in Virginia. Brown received bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science from Indiana University, where he also served as editor-in-chief of the Indiana Daily Student. He was a Pulliam Fellow at the Indianapolis Star and an intern at the Evansville Courier & Press.
