League of Women Voters of Tulsa Celebrates 100th Anniversary with Suffragette Tea Event

TULSA – October 31, 2023 – The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Tulsa is thrilled to announce a momentous celebration of its 100th anniversary, a significant milestone for the organization. The festivities will take place at the Tulsa Historical Society on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The League of Women Voters of Tulsa has been a pillar of advocacy and civic engagement for a century, championing women’s rights and providing non-partisan information and services like voter registration.

Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum will be making remarks.  There will also be an exhibit of League memorabilia, costumed suffragette interpreters, photo booth, and art station.

This commemorative tea event, offered in partnership with the Tulsa Historical Society and Museum, celebrates a century of the League’s mission in Tulsa. The League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Tulsa welcomes everyone to join in this celebration and be part of the ongoing mission to empower citizens and strengthen our democracy.
