Tulsa Voter Coalition Hosts Tulsa County Commissioner District 2 Candidate Forum

The Tulsa Voter Coalition, a non-partisan collective dedicated to promoting voter participation and civic engagement in Tulsa, announces the organization of a candidate forum for Tulsa County Commissioner District 2. This forum aims to provide residents with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the candidates and their respective platforms ahead of the Primary Election on June 18.

County governments are responsible for a wide range of essential services, including public safety, transportation infrastructure, public health, land assessment, and elections. Despite their pivotal role in community development, county elections frequently suffer from low voter participation. The Tulsa Voter Coalition recognizes the importance of increasing participation in local elections and seeks to increase voter turnout and civic engagement through initiatives like this forum. The event will feature an introduction from Commissioner Stan Sallee who will provide an overview of the function of county government and role of county commissioners prior to the candidate panel.
