The LWVMT Education Bond Study Committee hosted a consensus meeting on Saturday, August 20th. The committee is grateful for those members who were present and we offer a special note of thanks to Mr. Cody Way, CFO of Jenks Public Schools, for joining us.
We can report it was a lively dialogue and all present left the meeting feeling more thoroughly informed about school district bond proposals. Membership present reached consensus on moving forward with a recommendation to the full board to adopt positions that will allow the LWVMT to endorse or oppose school bond measures put forth to voters in the future.
