Tulsa League Unit meetings

Get Involved – Be in the Know – join the discussion at a Tulsa League Unit Meeting.

Two topics for study and discussion are being offered during the months of October, November, and December. They are Money and Politics and “Re-Entry into Society after Prison”. Choose one or both topics and join us for interesting conversation.

1.Money and Politics Study
The United States League of Women Voters is deeply committed to reforming our nation’s campaign finance system to ensure the public’s right to know, combat corruption and undue influence, enable candidates to compete more equitably for public office and allow maximum citizen participation in the political process.

To continue this reform effort, the LWVUS is conducting a study to update their position on campaign finance.  The purpose of this study, titled Money and Politics, is to educate the membership and address the members’ lack of agreement as to whether financing a political campaign is protected speech under the First Amendment.

The Tulsa League is joining the Money and Politics study.  We will be addressing this subject at two monthly unit meetings during October, November and December 2015.

Money Impacts Everything – Come learn and be a part of the discussion at one of the following unit meetings:
