The first step is to make sure you are a registered voter in Oklahoma! You can check your registration status at the state election board's OK Voter Portal using your name and date of birth.
If you need to register for the first time, you can do so in several ways:

- Download a voter registration form (printer required)
- Use the OK Voter Portal Registration Wizard (printer may be required)
- Pick up voter registration form at local tag agencies or from the League office Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The OK Voter Portal can also be used to update your voter registration in the following circumstances:

- Change Political Affiliation
- Change residential address within current county
- Change my residence address to another county
- Change mailing address
Deadline to register to vote or update your current voter registration is FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
Deadline to request an absentee ballot is MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
ABSENTEE VOTING
absentee ballot (n) - a ballot completed and typically mailed in advance of an election by a voter who is unable to be present at the polls.
Any registered voter in Oklahoma can vote by absentee ballot without giving a reason for doing so. To vote by absentee:
- Request an absentee ballot
- Online via the OK Voter Portal; or
- Download the application and submitting it to the local election board via in-person delivery, fax, email, or mail.
- Complete ballot when received
- Standard Absentee Ballot Packet
- Physically Incapacitated Absentee Ballot Packet
- Track your absentee ballot via the OK Voter Portal
- Return absentee ballot
- By mail (affix TWO stamps)
- In-person to local election board prior to 5:00 p.m. the day BEFORE the election (bring valid ID)
The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2024.
Both the Tulsa County Election Board and the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Tulsa suggest requesting an absentee ballot AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to allow time for receipt and return.
It is suggested that completed absentee ballots be returned 7-10 days prior to the election.
Absentee ballots must be received by the election board no later than 7:00 p.m. on election day.
EARLY VOTING
Early voting is technically in-person absentee voting. Voters are required to complete an application on-site prior to casting their ballot.
For the November 5, 2024 election, early voting takes place as follows:

Please note that the remote voting location will NOT be accepting already completed absentee ballots. Those will need to be dropped off at the County Election Board during business hours.
ELECTION DAY VOTING
Polls open 7:00 a.m. on Election Day and remain open until 7:00 p.m. If you are in line by 7:00 p.m. you are eligible to vote.
On Election Day, you should:

- Precincts tend to be less busy from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
