More details once we get them.\nThe Association for Women in Communications (AWC) annual Newsmakers luncheon will celebrate 100 Years of Voting Women with living history appearances from Elizabeth Cady Stanton (Sharon King Davis), Susan B. Anthony (Penny Painter) and Ida B. Wells (Rebecca Marks Jimerson).\nThe 2020 Newsmakers are:\nAliye Shimi, executive director, Tulsa Metropolitan Ministry, which promotes religious undertanding, cooperation, respect and freedom.\nLisa Shotts, founder/executive director, Gaining Ground, which works to prevent summer reading loss for students living in economically disadvantaged areas by providing weekly access to a large volume of books, providing high interest and student selected books, increasing parental involvement and engaging students in reading activities throughout the summer months.\nKimberly TeeHee, delegate-designate to the U.S. House of Representatives from the Cherokee Nation, is an advocate on Native American issues. \nSaidie Lifetime Achievement honoree is Joy Harjo, United States Poet Laureate.\nFor more information and to reserve a seat, please visit AWC Tulsa ( https://awctulsa.org ).\n \n
