On Tuesday, Feb. 5, the Coalition for Medicaid Expansion (CFME) sponsored a rally at the Oklahoma State Capitol in response to Governor Fallin’s decision to reject Medicaid Expansion for Oklahoma.  Members of the League of Women Voters were there to support the call for expansion of Medicaid.

Speakers at the rally included Oklahoma State Representative Doug Cox of Grove, a Republican physician who sees the need for access to healthcare on a daily basis; Oklahoma State Senator Connie Johnson, who spoke about the basic human right to healthcare, and Oklahoma State Senator Jabar Shumate of Tulsa, who said that access to healthcare is a civil rights issue.
