Juvenile Justice
Support of an improved juvenile justice system.
The Oklahoma juvenile justice system should protect the basic constitutional rights of all parties; reduce recidivism among offenders; and be consistent in dealing with offenders.
The system of juvenile justice would be improved by:
- The provision of community or regional based facilities, both temporary and permanent, separate from adult jails and institutions for serious offenders.
Approved by LWV of Oklahoma in 1994
